January 2011
On January 17th, Barry and Carter attended the Mid-America Horticultural Trade Show in Chicago for the week. As we are always trying to keep up on the latest innovations, they attended several design seminars such as "Dynamic Design, The Formal Garden, Quick-Fire graphics, and Sustainable Landscape Construction."
All of the classes were taught by some of the best designers in the industry and several useful tips were given in order to serve our clients with additional design knowledge. This year the event was held at Navy Pier and had businesses showing off their newest products from shovels and hand tools all the way up to the larger tractors and equipment. In contrast to last year, the mood and atmosphere was very optimistic with most companies having a successful 2010.

Voted Naperville Magazine's "Best Landscaper" award 2010 for the second year in a row!
Thanks to all the votes from our fantastic clients, CB Conlin Landscapes was named best landscaper again. Winners were recognized with a commemorative plaque and recognition during the Best of Naperville Awards Dinner at Hotel Arista on July 29. A portion of the proceeds generated from the event benefited the Naperville Heritage Society.
We have been working on some exciting new projects this season and it has been an honor doing them for all of you. As summer ends and autumn begins, we encourage you to prepare for fall/winter with proper plant pruning and maintenance practices.
We recently added another staff member, Carter Conlin, to Team Conlin. Carter is a great addition involved with landscape design, marketing, and client relationships.

Local landscape company's project featured in The Landscape Contractor magazine.
A backyard landscape renovation created by C.B. Conlin Landscapes recently graced the cover of February's issue. The south Naperville project was the second consecutive gold award the company received from the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association. The home's landscape featured a design which integrated natural bluestone patios and walks, decorative urns, natural limestone columns, walls, and copings. Additional site amenities include a spiral staircase, a fire pit, wooden pergola, seasonal plantings, and low voltage outdoor landscape lighting.
